The Judical Candidates Rating Coalition - Judge4Yourself.com - announced its ratings for the 2010 General Election in November today. Judge Dick Ambrose received the highest ranking of "Excellent" and perfect score of "4" from the four rating agencies: The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association; The Cuyahoga County Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association; the Norman S. Minor Bar Association; and the Ohio Women's bar Association. This marks the third time in six years that Judge Ambrose received an overall rating of "Excellent" from the JCRC. The JCRC evaluates each candidate for judicial office based on integrity, temperament, diligence, professional competence, and community understanding. The rating of "Excellent" reflects an organization's belief that the candidate is a superior choice for the office sought and is extremely well-qualified in respect to all the criteria.
Judge Ambrose's opponent in the 2010 General Election was rated "Not Recommended" by the JCRC, which means that the candidate does not minimally meet the above criteria and would be undersirable for judicial office.
